The CVMA is pleased to release the 2017 Economic Issues Report on economic trends affecting the veterinary profession in California. The report reflects findings from surveys conducted of California veterinarians in 2013 and 2016 and of registered veterinary technicians in 2016. While there are a number of national economic studies, the CVMA set goals to show key findings and provide information for analysis of the current state of the veterinary profession in California and insight into business and professional decision-making. The CVMA extends its thanks to all veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians who completed the survey.
The CVMA Economic Issues Data Explorer Tool allows CVMA members to examine selected results from the 2017 Economic Issues Survey, with regional breakdowns and results shown by demographic subgroups. This includes information on salary and benefits, hiring and job search, ownership and revenue and regional maps.
