Cal/OSHA Resources
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, better known as Cal/OSHA, protects workers from health and safety hazards on the job in almost every workplace in California through its research and standards, enforcement, and consultation programs. Cal/OSHA is a division of the California Department of Industrial Relations and houses several branches, including inspections/enforcement and consultation. Employers are required to comply with all OSHA laws and regulations which include a written safety plan, workplace postings and employee handouts, and an active an ongoing workplace safety program that includes routine workplace inspections, training, and a system to address workplace hazards.
