Online Seminar: Backyard Poultry Medicine – Caring for Our Feathered Friends
CVMA Online Seminars are convenient interactive presentations offering CEUs held online in real time. This learning platform allows you to participate from anywhere with internet access—from your practice, your home, on a business trip, or on vacation. Attending is as easy as a few mouse clicks. You will only need internet access and either an audio headset or a telephone.
The Backyard Poultry Medicine online seminar is offered on April 25, 2018. When you register for the Backyard Poultry Medicine online seminar, a URL will be sent to the registered attendee’s email address with login information on how to begin the online seminar.
With backyard poultry increasing in popularity, learn the basics of small flock medicine and management, along with basic flock behavior to maximize flock health for your feathered patients. Performing a basic physical exam to aid in recognizing and diagnosing the common diseases in backyard flocks along with developing a basic flock health maintenance program will be emphasized.
Dr. Morishita received her BS and MS in animal science from the University of Hawaii and a DVM/MPVM and Ph.D. in comparative pathology from the University of California, Davis. She is a diplomate of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians; operated a private avian practice; and worked in the poultry industry as a veterinary consultant. Dr. Morishita co-edited the book, Backyard Poultry Medicine and Surgery: A Guide for Veterinary Practitioners, and authors a poultry health column for poultry enthusiasts titled “Fowl Talk.”

CVMA reserves the right to invoice those individuals and/or organizations that are logged in or connected from telephone numbers that don’t correspond to a paid registration.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing and submitted by fax, email, or regular mail no later than seven days prior to the selected online seminar to receive a full refund, less a 10 percent administration fee.
