Camelid Medicine for the General Practitioner
CVMA Online Seminars are convenient interactive presentations offering CEUs held online in real time. The Camelid Medicine online seminar is offered on October 16 and 17, 2018. When you register for the Camelid Medicine online seminar, a URL will be sent to the registered attendee’s email address with login information on how to begin the online seminar.
Camelid medicine can be intimidating to veterinarians who are not familiar with these species due to lack of experience and information involving these species. This session will provide an overview of basic considerations when managing camelid patients.
Julie E. Dechant, DVM, MS, DACVSW, DACVECC
Dr. Julie E. Dechant, graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 and completed a Large Animal Surgery Residency at Colorado State University in 2000. Dr. Dechant is currently an Associate Professor in Clinical Equine Emergency Surgery and Critical Care at UC Davis. She received Faculty Teaching Awards from the School of Veterinary Medicine (2015) and UC Davis (2016). Her research interests are related to improving the diagnosis and care of large animal emergency and critical care patients. She also has a secondary interest in camelid medicine and associated research.

This course qualifies for 1.5 hours of interactive learning. Each paid registrant will be allowed access via one phone line and one log-in and will receive a certificate upon completion. When you register, a URL will be sent to the registered attendee email with login information on how to begin the webinar. CVMA reserves the right to invoice those individuals and/or organizations that are logged in or connected from telephone numbers that don’t correspond to a paid registration.
All registrations must be received the day before the online seminar in order to participate.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing and submitted by fax, email, or regular mail no later than October 9, 2018 to receive a full refund, less a 10 percent administration fee.
