CAVMRC Fall Training – November 7, 2021

With over 2,500 volunteers, the California Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps (CAVMRC) provides emergency veterinary medical care to animals in disasters. As part of the CAVMRC’s mission to train and credential veterinary professionals to support animal and public health during a disaster, the CAVMRC is offering low-cost, continuing education for veterinarians, RVTs, and veterinary assistants.

By registering for this course, you are also registering to become a volunteer member of the CAVMRC, if you are not already a current member. CAVMRC membership is free and participation is strictly voluntary. This course is only available to CAVMRC members.

Health and Safety Protocols

The CVMA is closely monitoring the current developments of COVID-19. At this time, the CVMA will require all in-person attendees to wear masks indoors during the seminar unless actively eating or drinking. Local, state, and federal guidelines are constantly in flux, so this requirement may change as we get closer to the seminar. Also, we require all in-person attendees to be fully vaccinated prior to attending the event for their safety and the safety of others.

The CVMA will provide additional information to all registrants the week before the seminar begins. We will also provide updates on cvma.net with any new information that may affect participation in this seminar. Social distancing efforts are in place. All meeting rooms will be set up to properly accommodate distancing, which means that space is limited.

Additional hygiene and cleaning protocols will be in place, including hand sanitizer stations in the meeting rooms and throughout the hotel and the frequent cleaning of high touch-point areas throughout the day and each evening.
