As a student member of the CVMA, you have the opportunity to participate in many events throughout the year.

CVMA Mentor Moments

The CVMA’s virtual mentorship program is offered to students and new graduates of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and WesternU College of Veterinary Medicine. The program consists of online discussions presented by seasoned practicing veterinarians providing their perspectives and advice regarding topics related to their real-world experience in veterinary medicine. These one-hour presentations include 10-15 minutes for general Q&A. Best of all—these sessions are free! 

UC Davis and WesternU Events

 

The CVMA sponsors events for veterinary students at UC Davis and WesternU. These events include a senior banquet, white coat ceremonies, and a welcome event for incoming freshman. 

Bandaging Labs

 

CVMA hosts an annual bandaging lab for students where they get to learn how to bandage their own personal pets. It’s a great opportunity for hands-on learning that supplements normal vet school curriculum.
