Last Year’s Survey in Action
These surveys matter! In response to last year’s survey, CVMA members told us what they needed and wanted from their professional association. Here are some ways in which we delivered:
• Launched an RVT Relief Directory to complement our Veterinarian Relief Directory
• Improved the user interface with our Career Center
• Brought CE events to Monterey and San Diego, the locations most requested by respondents
• Added the Sabadoodle 90-Day Money Mentorship program for early-career veterinarians
• Introduced discounted flights through our TicketsatWork member benefit
• Expanded support for equine practitioners with a new Equine Medicine Seminar (now part of our regular rotation, combined with our food animal offerings to form our Large Animal Medicine Seminar in April at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite)
• We also advocated for equine practitioners during the California Veterinary Medical Board (CVMB) Sunset Review, successfully pushing for statutory changes to ensure large animal veterinarian representation on the CVMB
