Life Membership Criteria**

A member veterinarian who has paid Association dues for a minimum of 25 years including the preceding 10 years, and has attained the age of 70 years.

Retired Membership Criteria**

Any veterinarian who has been an active member of the Association for at least 20 years including the preceding 10 years, who is working in veterinary medicine less than 30 days per year and has attained the age of 65 years.

Public Service Membership Criteria

Veterinarians employed by the state, federal, city, or county governments, or in the military service on active duty.

Non-Resident Veterinarian**

Veterinarians whose residence and practice is carried on entirely outside of California.
