Distance learning programs are designed for people whose work and family obligations make it difficult for them to attend a regular on-campus program. They are also for students who do not have a veterinary technician training program near where they live.
Penn Foster, a leading provider of veterinary training and education, is offering CVMA members a 10% discount on their Veterinary Technician Associate degree, Veterinary Practice Management Undergraduate certificate, or Veterinary Technician Bachelor’s degree. VASE, a California Alternate Route Program accepted by the California Veterinary Medical Board and approved by the California Bureau of Post-secondary Education, offers the required academic instruction that, combined with the required 4,416 hours experience (before registering or by completion of the class) working for a California licensed veterinarian, qualifies students to sit for the national exam.
Enrolling students who are employees of CVMA members will receive a $250 tuition discount and preferred scheduling. Member Access ➝
